The labiopalatine fissure it's one of the most common, and trauma deformities are caused by trauma or severe shock. These affect the positioning of the jaw or elements related to it. Anomalies are caused by excessive or insufficient development of some elements of the facial skeleton. It begins to be noticed in the stage of development or growth of the craniofacial area which is up to 18 or 20 years old.

These conditions can be corrected or improved through a variety of procedures like Orthognathic surgery.

This surgery repairs irregularities in the jaw bones, aligns jaws and teeth to improve their functioning. It is recommended to practice when the growth is complete. In women between the ages of 14 and 16 and in men between the ages of 17 and 21.
